e-mail Brusselsrower | Supposedly, North Brussels is up and coming (new European School opening in Laeken), underpriced and, as a resident there, much underestimated.
But 100k won't get you much, even there, a 1-bed apartment maybe. Jet'Immo have one at 87k on the Arbre Ballon, quite a pleasant location. There are quite a few big tower blocks there, it should not be difficult to find the going rate for rentals and work out the sums.

e-mail lilly | | I know that in the Ixelles are you ten to find lots of foreign couples who are sometimes only here for a short time. That could be a place worth investigating |
