I'd love to try making stuffed vine leaves, where can I buy them and can anyone give me a nice recipe?

I actually buy them already stuffed and rolled from the Jewish section in my carrefour, i know it's cheating but they are so delicious!

If you can't get hold of any try stuffed cabbage leaves, not exactly the same but yummy.

Greek food shops usually stock them.

In a smallish turkish or arabic style supermarket in the centre of brussels, I bought a glass jar full of just the leaves. They keep a long time in the fridge which is just as well, there are so many of them crammed into the jar. For the filling, I use sticky rice (the sort you use for risotto or rice pudding) cooked with stock cubes, small cut vegetables, loads of herbs and spices, pepper and salt. Some people put minced meat into the mix as well. After rolling the mix into the leaves, steam them ntil the leaves are not leathery anymore, and brush them with olive oil (not necessary but makes them look nicer).
